Senior Center Board

CoupleThe Senior Center Board is comprised of nine (9) members who serve three-year staggered terms. The duties of the Board are to: operate the Senior Center to the greatest extent possible at a minimum cost to the City, based upon a memorandum of understanding (the City is to pay basic operational costs of the building such as utilities, maintenance, phones); submit to the City Council an annual program with any requests for funding; handle the day-to-day operations of the Center; provide a diverse range of educational, recreational, social and cultural enriching programs and activities as well as a “meeting place” for all seniors. The Executive Assistant to the City Manager is the City’s liaison staff member. The Board meets the third Tuesday of each quarter (January, April, July & October) at 12:30 p.m. in the Senior Center. Board members are not required to file a Statement of Economic Interests.
