“Fire Medical” is an official program of the City of Loma Linda Fire Department, it is a voluntary subscription program that improves the quality of emergency medical services (EMS) right here in our own community. As a member of the “Fire Medical” program you receive: Fire-Medical Services
- No “out-of-pocket cost” for EMS provided by the City of Loma Linda Fire Department.
- Coverage for your entire household, anywhere in the City of Loma Linda.
- Umbrella coverage for visitors at your residents who suffer an emergency medical incident.
Funding from this program will assist paramedics in both City of Loma Linda fire stations. Your subscription helps firefighter/paramedics respond as quickly as possible, and save lives using state-of-the-art medical equipment and advanced training techniques. All residents of the City of Loma Linda and non-residents are eligible to join “Fire Medical”.
Your $60 annual subscription fee covers you and everyone living in your residence. By joining “Fire Medical”, you and your entire household are protected from the unexpected expenses associated with EMS treatment. Your subscription fee helps to improve the quality of emergency medical services right here in the City of Loma Linda. Further Information Regarding “Fire Medical”
Note: Some Insurance policies and Medi-Cal plans provide "payment in full" coverage for paramedic treatment. If you have this type of coverage, you are already protected against “out-of-pocket” expenses so there is no need to for you to enroll in “Fire Medical”. However, even if you are covered by such a policy, you may still wish to join the “Fire Medical” Program to provide coverage for visitors and other members of your household who may not have the same coverage.
