Public Safety

The Public Safety Department provides for fire protection/suppression, emergency medical services, and other programs to reduce the risk of fire and other hazards. In addition, the department conducts inspections to help prevent potential fire hazards. This department is responsible for fire prevention education and disaster preparedness planning. The Department also provides for animal control, code enforcement and parking control.

The city contracts for law enforcement services with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

Services are provided at Central Station which is located at 655 East Third Street in San Bernardino. Office hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, except holidays.
