The City of Loma Linda allows employees to make certain benefit changes only during its annual open enrollment period, unless you have experience certain qualifying life changes. Open Enrollment takes place each fall 2021 Open Enrollment will take place September 20 - October 15, 2021. Changes made during 2021 Open Enrollment will take effect January 1, 2022. Employees may not make any changes until the next year’s open enrollment period unless he or she has a qualified life event, such as marriage, birth, adoption, or any change to a dependent’s status that results in a loss of benefits coverage, etc., and notifies the Human Resources Department of such a change within 60 days from the date of the qualifying event. After 60 days, employees must wait 90 days from the date of notice to Human Resources or until the next open enrollment period to enroll themselves or their dependents in coverage.
