| Loma Linda Job Market |
The City of Loma Linda economy is centered on healthcare, education and government. The City's resident population is 21,115 and swells to over 60,000 during the day due to the employees, patients and students of the world renowned Loma Linda University Medical Center. Loma Linda’s medical and educational institutions are the primary employers. However, the local business community is growing, and jobs in government, agriculture services, construction and manufacturing are available throughout the Inland Empire. The Inland Empire job market is among the fastest growing in the State of California.

Loma Linda Academy, a private Seventh-day Adventist school, providing schooling for kindergarten through high school, is the largest area school for those ages. Please watch the Loma Linda Academy Oral History
Public schools operated by the Redlands Unified School District are also available for Loma Linda residents.
Within a short drive of Loma Linda are junior colleges, San Bernardino Valley College, Crafton Hills College and Riverside City College. The Loma Linda University, the University of California at Riverside, Cal State University San Bernardino, the University of Redlands and the Claremont Colleges are available for upper division and graduate courses.

Community Services are available from the city, private utilities, and local business firms, accommodating family shopping needs. Regional shopping malls are located in San Bernardino and Redlands.
Loma Linda is directly in the path of progress in the San Bernardino and Riverside Counties area. This area is estimated to be among the fastest-growing areas in the United States. The $5 million 42,000 1989, and now houses the City offices, the Chamber of Commerce and the San Bernardino Branch Library.
A 250 bed Children’s Hospital at Loma Linda University Medical Center was opened in 1993.
Numerous business, retail and industrial projects are under way and are available for occupancy and development.

| The Loma Linda Ronald McDonald House |
The Loma Linda Ronald McDonald House opened in 1996 to families of children who are hospitalized and undergoing treatment and/or receiving treatment on an outpatient basis at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital and other area hospitals. Priority for overnight stays is based upon families with the greatest need.

| Omnitrans provides local area bus service. Los Angeles Rapid Transit Authority operates bus service between San Bernardino, Riverside, Los Angeles and other metropolitan area cities. Ontario International Airport is located 25 miles west of Loma Linda. Amtrak train service is available at the San Bernardino depot. |
